Garage Sale Finds

I went sailing this morning and boy oh boy did I have fun I have a few goodies to share with you all.

What did i tell you, I found more twine to add to my jar I love the jute.

How cute is this little guy, I have some cleaning to do but it works!

I've been needing one of these for my sewing machine.

This snail will join his friends out back.

Found these little jars I love the tops, 25 cents each.

I think I will fill these with glitter.

My heart skipped a couple beats when I saw this glass frog, and see the price.

A better shot of it, sooo darling, this ones a keeper.

I usually don't do pigs, but look how sweet this one is I couldn't resist that pink cap.

Look at his tush can you see his little curly Q.

See all this glorious ribbon! great for my sewing projects. I actually got this some time ago and I forgot to share.

I also got 4 mini flags, 5 yellow books, another jar and a small watering can.  It was a good morning here in my neck of the woods.  Have a great weekend!

With all my heart,

Yolanda

Thrift Store Finds

I finally got around to doing something with my thrift store finds.  I know it took forever, it takes me awhile to get motivated so let's get on with it.

Just a reminder of what I got.

Lookie what I did! I re-covered that blue memo board in this black and white fabric that I got at the thrift store there was 3 yards and I got it for 2.50 and I used some vintage buttons that I got at an Estate sale I always get buttons cause you can use them in so many ways.

Remember that big jar?  I got some chalkboard sheets from Michael's, cut my shape
out and stuck it on. Then I made a hole on the top and now I have a place for my twine.  I don't know about you, but I'm just loving twine and I've been finding it at estate sales like crazy.  The other day I was at a garage sale and I became a stalker, you know what I mean, there was a huge spool of twine and this lady beat me to it but I heard her say she wasn't sure about it, so yep I stalked her (don't judge me) but she bought it,  next time I have to be faster on the draw.

At that same sale I found this other big jar.  I cant wait to fill it with something.

It's a good feeling when you finish a project.

I was on a roll so I also stamped these small burlap squares I got at Michael's.

I also wanted to share my other thrift store finds with you all. Nice frame's don't you think.  I don't know what I'll use them for but there going in my stash.

I like this, I'm sure it's a cover for a butter dish but lets call it a cloche.

I really like this hmm, how did he get there.

Update on my Rose its almost there!

I decided to put my frog's under the little cloche, what do you think?

Well I still have to do something with the green bucket and the tray so stay tuned.  Tomorrow is Friday and there's always lots of garage sales so that's my plan be back soon.

With all my heart,

Yolanda

Spring is in the air

Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods! Went out to my back yard which is nothing but dirt except for the patio where I tried to make it a little more like my old back yard, but it's really hard to make it feel like my own when I'm just renting, I wanted to put grass in but I just didn't want to put the money into it, yada yada yada to much information let me just say I'm renting enough said.  Now on with the show.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I'm getting visitors

This is my attempt at growing tomato's. Can't wait to show you the progress, maybe I should plant some more just in case these don't make it.

Here is my strawberry's

My squash, so far so good.   I said a little pray over all the things I planted,
I believe! I believe!

A little English thyme and some basil. Look at my rabbit he's cute.

Some ivy, did I mention I like bird house's there scattered here and there.

I really like geranium's and I like pink.

Rabbit under glass.

Don't you just love my tea cart, I got it on one of my sailing outings I know its missing the bottom glass, but that's OK when I'm ready to move to my next place I'll fix it but for now it works.

I love Easter Lilly's.

Future orange's they smell so good.

Can you see my bird house stake.  Look at my angel wing in the pot,  I think it looks so sweet.  Ugh! I'm totally aware of the ugly dirt in the back ground just please ignore it.

Some body's sunbathing.

Another lazy rabbit.

I love this bench I got it at the Rose Bowl flea market.

First sign of my Alyssum.

I love the way this ivy is trying to climb up this stake.

I really like ivy it's a great filler, I have ivy planted with my Rose tree's.

Future Rose.

Yes my friends it is yet another little bird house, but isn't it adorable.

On a sad note this little guy didn't make it.

I can't remember what these are, but when they bloom I'll let you know.

Friend's I wasn't alone, my shadow was there with me also known as Teddy.

That's it for now I'm planning on going thrifting next week so stay tuned for my next finds.

Walking in Temecula

My daughter and I went to Temecula were they have antique malls and restaurants and every Saturday they have a farmers market and various other vendors.  I want to share 3 stores were I like to go visit and take a peek first one up is Vintage Begonia.

It was a beautiful day in downtown Temecula.

This is there window display, love the dress form, I want one.

A look from the inside same display.

Sweet scale, I have one but it's not as vintage as this one so a hunting I will go.

I love these pillow, I'm gonna make me some, I already have the burlap so stay tuned.

I love the wire cloche, it's on my wish list.

This one too! they have so much more to look at this is just the tip of the ice berg.

We stopped by the Temecula Lavender Co.  it smells wonderful in there they have all things lavender.

They let you try every thing, then you can use the lavender scrub to wash your hands.

A view from one of the many balcony's they have.

Then we hopped on over to Serendipity Antiques, one of my favorite's.

There's so much to see here.  This is the front porch.

Love that bird house!

Love all that rust.

This Jar was huge! I have something like this.

Here's my version, not quite the same LOL!

Look at this, sooo cute.  Right out that door in the back is there garden.

I thought this was a cute Idea, but it was to expensive for me at 16.00 dollars.

I like the wreath, but if I had one I'm sure I would kill it.

We made a day of it we walked around the farmers market, visited the shops and had lunch then we did some thrifting and look what I found

just like the one above except I didn't pay 16.00 dollars, mine cost 1.00 love thrifting! stay tuned be back soon.

With all my heart,

Yolanda
