Garage Sale Finds

Hello Friends,
Hope you all had a great weekend!  I went sailing and hit a couple of thrift shops and I want to share my finds with you.

Got this black candle stick and tray at a garage sale down the street from me.

I picked up some biscuit cutters and this other thingy.  Does any one know what the thing with the flat bottom is?

I got another bird house, but I think I'm done no more bird houses for me. Let's see how long that last.

Cute little atrium.

A small easel, I don't know about you but I use these alot.

Found another glass container with a lid. At first I thought what do I need a lid for but then on second thought it could come in handy.  After a paint job on that lid I think it will do just fine.

Look at this people!  This is my favorite find.  It was so dirty when I found it but I cleaned it up and now look at it.  This baby is getting a paint job and some new hardware and she's going to be my BFF.

I lined the drawers with this purdy paper I got from the dollar tree.

I also scored on all this.

Look at this sweetie, someone is getting this in there Christmas stocking.

I'm always on the hunt for frames.

Here's a close up of the round frame.

Well that's it for now stay tuned for more of my life in 1000sqft.

Blue Party

My  daughter was planning a small dinner for her hubby's 32nd birthday, and asked me to help her decorate. She wanted to go with the color blue, we did it in a weeks time and all for under 20 dollars.

The scrap book paper was on sale at 4 for a dollar and we spent about 3.00 dollars.
I decided to make a quick pennant banner.

I wrapped some cans for the centerpieces and made some paper pinwheels and stuffed the cans with shredded paper.  I already had the fabric for the runner, so it was a quick sewing job to make it the right length for the table and it was a done deal.

Jessika already had this sweet chalkboard so I used it for the gift table.

This is my version of subway art.  We used this sign on the dessert table.

We decided to do an Ice cream social for dessert.

It was all very yummy and the kids really loved making their own sundae.

Happy Birthday Eric!
May the Lord give you the desires of your heart.

Garage Sale Finds

Hello Friends,
It's been a while since I've shared my garage sale finds.  I just haven't had much luck lately, but this is some stuff I got awhile ago.

My daughter and I had a garage sale of our own and right next door they were having an Estate sale and look at what I got.  I can't stop, what is wrong with me... I can't help it I love these cases! I also got a small suit case with keys; yeah baby!

I also got this Queen bedspread and these jelly jars. Love the bedspread!
I spent less then 6 dollars at the Estate Sale.

Isn't this bag adorable? It's done up with tiny seed beads.

I don't think this one is vintage, but I just loved all the beads on it.

This is a small black velvet clutch with a handle, so adorable.

Cute frame for 50 cents.

Two bird houses.

I really don't know why I like these nozzles, but I hit the mother lode. They were together in a box and I got them all for $1.00.

Maybe this is why... so colorful and happy!

Well thats it for now stay tuned for more of my life in 1000sqft.

Pink Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago my GF had a baby shower for her sister- in- law.   It was so darling, I want to share the pics with all of you.

Love these paper globes that were hanging on the frame of the ez-up.

Before

After

I love this baby tub.  She let me borrow this for my Jessikas' shower.

The tags

The sign

The blessing tree.

This sign was at the entrance.

The food was delicious and the Red Velvet cup cakes were made by her daughter Andrea.

I made some tutus to put on the cup cake holder and it looked adorable.

Can't have a party without marshmallows.

The gifts were put on the bench in the gazebo.  Love that bench.

The guest of honor.

Thank you gifts were tucked away in this darling jewelery box.

Congratulations! May your baby be blessed.
