Having fun

Hello Friends,
I know it's been forever since I've posted anything.  I have been spending time with the grand kids they stayed with me for a week so you can just imagine all the fun we had.

I forgot to share my 4th of July pics with you. We were supposed to go over to my daughter's house but the plans changed at the last minute, so thank heavens for dollar tree they had slim pickings since it was the 3rd of July, I spent 3 bucks so not bad, and a good time was had by all.

At The Lake

The week after the 4th we headed over to the Lake for a picnic.

So peaceful.

Lot's to do.

Teddy was there too.

There were so many picnic benches right on the bank of the lake.

John's taking his fishing pole next time.

It was a good day for togetherness.

If your ever in my neck of the woods, visit Lake Skinner.
There's lot's to do, boating, biking, camping, fishing and pets are welcomed.

Old Town Orange

The day after my daughter graduated, we had to take her Aunt home.  I figured since we were in the OC we would go have lunch and walk around the Orange Plaza.  If your ever in the OC go to the city of Orange they have lots of antique malls and places to eat you won't be disappointed.

Look at this, it's ginormous!

I want one, soon very soon.

My daughter enjoys flea markets, and thrifting as well.
Yes I taught her well... Obe wan Kenobi.

This is right up my alley, don't you just love the frog.

How about these...

I had one of these when I was a kid.  Oh the memories I had so much fun.

You know I had to try this on, I love this poodle hat!

A quick visit to the Chocolate factory for some yum yums.

Baby Girl had to have a chocolate covered strawberry!

CRUISING THE NEIGHBORHOOD

I grew up here and always wanted to own a home in this neighborhood so here's my wish list.

Close up of the widow's walk.

The banner reads Happy Spring.

I just love the window's.

This one was a favorite.

Close up of the hydrangea's.

Close up on the brick entry, I just love that look.

Another favorite.

AMERICAN PRIDE

All of the next houses were flying our colors in one way or another.

If window's are the soul, then doors are the heart.

I hope you enjoyed one of my favorite places.  Stay tuned for more of my life in 1000sqft.

Celebrating Jeena

My daughter Jeena graduated last week so I threw this little gathering for her, as I stated in my previous post we couldn't decide on what to do or when to do it so, we decided to just do something for the people who were going to her graduation.

The menu consisted of:
Turkey & Ham sandwiches
Pasta Salad
Ambrosia Salad
Cup cakes
Marshmallows

I made the garland with some leftover  yellow, white and black fabric and I also used some tulle I had.

Had to have cup cake toppers.

I used this sign over the dessert table which I forgot to get a pic of.

I used my potting bench to set up the sandwiches and salad's

I decided to use my tea cart for the drinks I made lemonade and Ice tea.

I set up the chalk board so her guest could sign it like a year book.

I put the sandwiches in this and put the labels on.

The Lemonade

Woo Hoo, there's my jar the cost me 75 cents.

I put lot's of apples and oranges in the Ice tea.

a must have- the marshmallows look so sunny in yellow!

Hung the garland on the potting bench window.

So here is the setup sorry about the pic's but I was trying to be the hostess with the most-ess and I was busy doing this and that so the pic's are towards the end of the night.

The drink station, the white dish is were I put the ice.

I wanted to share a pic of my chair all painted up.

This was the chalk board at the end of the night.

GRADUATION

They're getting ready to throw their hat's

Yeah! officially graduated.

Graduating with honors.

Congrats Baby Girl!!!

May the Lord bless you and guide
you, may he give you the desires of your heart.

Stay tuned for more of my life in 1000sqft.
