Garage Sale Finds

Hello Friends,
Hope you all had a great weekend!  I went sailing and hit a couple of thrift shops and I want to share my finds with you.

Got this black candle stick and tray at a garage sale down the street from me.

I picked up some biscuit cutters and this other thingy.  Does any one know what the thing with the flat bottom is?

I got another bird house, but I think I'm done no more bird houses for me. Let's see how long that last.

Cute little atrium.

A small easel, I don't know about you but I use these alot.

Found another glass container with a lid. At first I thought what do I need a lid for but then on second thought it could come in handy.  After a paint job on that lid I think it will do just fine.

Look at this people!  This is my favorite find.  It was so dirty when I found it but I cleaned it up and now look at it.  This baby is getting a paint job and some new hardware and she's going to be my BFF.

I lined the drawers with this purdy paper I got from the dollar tree.

I also scored on all this.

Look at this sweetie, someone is getting this in there Christmas stocking.

I'm always on the hunt for frames.

Here's a close up of the round frame.

Well that's it for now stay tuned for more of my life in 1000sqft.

Thrift Store Finds

I finally got around to doing something with my thrift store finds.  I know it took forever, it takes me awhile to get motivated so let's get on with it.

Just a reminder of what I got.

Lookie what I did! I re-covered that blue memo board in this black and white fabric that I got at the thrift store there was 3 yards and I got it for 2.50 and I used some vintage buttons that I got at an Estate sale I always get buttons cause you can use them in so many ways.

Remember that big jar?  I got some chalkboard sheets from Michael's, cut my shape
out and stuck it on. Then I made a hole on the top and now I have a place for my twine.  I don't know about you, but I'm just loving twine and I've been finding it at estate sales like crazy.  The other day I was at a garage sale and I became a stalker, you know what I mean, there was a huge spool of twine and this lady beat me to it but I heard her say she wasn't sure about it, so yep I stalked her (don't judge me) but she bought it,  next time I have to be faster on the draw.

At that same sale I found this other big jar.  I cant wait to fill it with something.

It's a good feeling when you finish a project.

I was on a roll so I also stamped these small burlap squares I got at Michael's.

I also wanted to share my other thrift store finds with you all. Nice frame's don't you think.  I don't know what I'll use them for but there going in my stash.

I like this, I'm sure it's a cover for a butter dish but lets call it a cloche.

I really like this hmm, how did he get there.

Update on my Rose its almost there!

I decided to put my frog's under the little cloche, what do you think?

Well I still have to do something with the green bucket and the tray so stay tuned.  Tomorrow is Friday and there's always lots of garage sales so that's my plan be back soon.

With all my heart,

Yolanda

Spring forward

Hello friends, time to share my spring display. So I started this re-do on Friday  and it  took me forever to gather the things I decided to use.   I used to collect rabbits till it got out of hand, so when I scaled down I just kept a few out and packed the rest.  I was on the hunt in my garage and I came across some things I forgot I had, but sadly there are still some things I can't find.

Just a reminder, what my space looked like.

I know I had another nest, but I can't find it so I'll use this one.

I like this little fatty, he's cute and it fills up some space.

I only wish he was white or cream, I guess that's another project for later still have to figure out how to remove the basket without cutting the rope, hmmm.

This wreath is the one I always use for my spring stuff and this sign I found in the garage.

Isn't this one cute, he's cast iron

This little basket for the cabinet door, and a few more rabbits and a pic of some rabbits and I also used a sweet little glass basket, and a candle.

I stood back and did the hokey pokey and turned my self around, but it was missing something.

see the black arrow, so I looked around some more and I used my door stop.

I did my dance again,  and I don't know I'm not liking the rabbit with the basket so on with the hunt.

I think this other rabbit goes better, maybe it's because it's in the cream color family.  any way that's it for now, so there you have it my Spring thing.

I also scattered a little spring in other places.  I wanted to share this cloche I found at the thrift store only 1.50 love it!

I filled it with my clock collection and added a bunny or two

I put this guy back were I got him.

That's it for now, be back soon with some pic's from a sweet little shop we visited in Temecula.

Yolanda

Thrift Finds

I had a few extra dollars in my pocket last week and as hard as I tried to stay away from thrifting, I just couldn't resist so it got the best of me so off I went.

Look what I got! and it all cost me 3.75 what a deal.  I think I see the makings of a chalk board and maybe I'll cover up that bucket with some black and white paper and I have big plans for that memo board, see that glass bottle? that cost me 25 cents, I have no idea why I picked that up I just liked it.  I have a thing for jars too

Here are some of the other bottles I have picked up on my thrift store runs.

That's it for now, be back soon with some stuff I sewed up for Amarrisa and stay tuned for what I'm gonna do with my thrift store finds.

With all my heart,

Yolanda
