Amarissia is Turning One

Hello Friends,
Ive been busy getting ready for Baby Amarissa's 1st Birthday. So take a look and see what I've been up to.

 Her theme is mod monkey,
but we're actually using the colors pink and green more then the monkey.
take a look at the number one that I made.

Pom poms, pom poms and more pom poms.  These are so easy to make and they add a hugh punch of color.

This is what she's wearing. I think she's going to look ado-ra-ble.

Its going to be a small family affair, but I think we should celebrate big after all you only turn 1 once in your life.  The party is Saturday so be back soon to share.

Lilli's Wedding Day

On November 3rd our Lilli got married.

She was such a beautiful bride.

Waiting with anticipation...

1st look!

Vow's were spoken.

Traditions upheld.

Kiss your bride!

The wedding party.

The flowers.

The first dance.

Lord I ask that you would take this couple into your hands.
Help them Lord to keep firm in the commitment they just made.
I pray that you give them Patience,
tolerance and understanding as they begin to adjust to married life.
I pray that they will respect each other,
open their hearts to give and receive forgiveness.
that each may be to the other a strength in need,
a comfort in sorrow and a companion it joy.
All these things I ask in your holy and precious name,
Amen.

Sewing for Lilli

Last week I was sewing up a gift for a very sweet person who I have known since she was a child. Our sweet Lilli was having her bridal shower.

Went down to Joann's and picked out some fabric.

I decided I would make an apron, a tote and some coasters.

Love this fabric, I know it's hard to tell but the solid is the color lavender.

I used some scrap fabric from my stash to make the coasters.

While I was sewing, I was thinking back at what a sweet girl she was and  what a beautiful women she has become.

How do you like the tote? The inside was lavender, so sorry I forgot to get a shot of that.

I put a sweet ruffle on the bottom and a band above that.  It looks like a dress soo cute!

I really don't know how she's decorating, but I thought she would like this burlap pillow with their initials on it.

I was there the night before and helped set up for the shower so we took a picture together.  In a couple of weeks she will be walking down the aisle to be married. I can't wait to be a part of her big day!

Blue Party

My  daughter was planning a small dinner for her hubby's 32nd birthday, and asked me to help her decorate. She wanted to go with the color blue, we did it in a weeks time and all for under 20 dollars.

The scrap book paper was on sale at 4 for a dollar and we spent about 3.00 dollars.
I decided to make a quick pennant banner.

I wrapped some cans for the centerpieces and made some paper pinwheels and stuffed the cans with shredded paper.  I already had the fabric for the runner, so it was a quick sewing job to make it the right length for the table and it was a done deal.

Jessika already had this sweet chalkboard so I used it for the gift table.

This is my version of subway art.  We used this sign on the dessert table.

We decided to do an Ice cream social for dessert.

It was all very yummy and the kids really loved making their own sundae.

Happy Birthday Eric!
May the Lord give you the desires of your heart.

Pink Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago my GF had a baby shower for her sister- in- law.   It was so darling, I want to share the pics with all of you.

Love these paper globes that were hanging on the frame of the ez-up.

Before

After

I love this baby tub.  She let me borrow this for my Jessikas' shower.

The tags

The sign

The blessing tree.

This sign was at the entrance.

The food was delicious and the Red Velvet cup cakes were made by her daughter Andrea.

I made some tutus to put on the cup cake holder and it looked adorable.

Can't have a party without marshmallows.

The gifts were put on the bench in the gazebo.  Love that bench.

The guest of honor.

Thank you gifts were tucked away in this darling jewelery box.

Congratulations! May your baby be blessed.

Celebrating Jeena

My daughter Jeena graduated last week so I threw this little gathering for her, as I stated in my previous post we couldn't decide on what to do or when to do it so, we decided to just do something for the people who were going to her graduation.

The menu consisted of:
Turkey & Ham sandwiches
Pasta Salad
Ambrosia Salad
Cup cakes
Marshmallows

I made the garland with some leftover  yellow, white and black fabric and I also used some tulle I had.

Had to have cup cake toppers.

I used this sign over the dessert table which I forgot to get a pic of.

I used my potting bench to set up the sandwiches and salad's

I decided to use my tea cart for the drinks I made lemonade and Ice tea.

I set up the chalk board so her guest could sign it like a year book.

I put the sandwiches in this and put the labels on.

The Lemonade

Woo Hoo, there's my jar the cost me 75 cents.

I put lot's of apples and oranges in the Ice tea.

a must have- the marshmallows look so sunny in yellow!

Hung the garland on the potting bench window.

So here is the setup sorry about the pic's but I was trying to be the hostess with the most-ess and I was busy doing this and that so the pic's are towards the end of the night.

The drink station, the white dish is were I put the ice.

I wanted to share a pic of my chair all painted up.

This was the chalk board at the end of the night.

GRADUATION

They're getting ready to throw their hat's

Yeah! officially graduated.

Graduating with honors.

Congrats Baby Girl!!!

May the Lord bless you and guide
you, may he give you the desires of your heart.
