Mothers Day Outing

Hi Friends!

I hope you all had a great Mothers Day!  It was a beautiful day we went to Temecula.

Color galore, I just loved it!

I want one of these, it would look so darling in the garden.

I was strolling through one of the stores and I saw this adorable child's wheelbarrow,
I want it! so I'm on the hunt.

I want one of these too! I think I like the one in the middle the best.

They had the most amazing chocolate covered strawberry's,  yummmmy!

Here's another wheelbarrow very rustic.

Aren't these the sweetest ballet slippers...

Buttons, Buttons and more Buttons.

How about this, 2.00 a scoop

Love the scoop!

Say cheese!

Today is Thursday, so I'm going sailing tomorrow,
so stay tuned for more of my life in 1000 sq ft.

Happy Mothers Day!

What makes a good mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time?

Or is it heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the very first time?

The jolt that takes you from sleeping to dread, from bed to crib at 2 a.m. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby?

Is it the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a school shooting, a fire, a car accident, a baby dying?

I think so.

Lord I pray for :

Those who are grieving the loss of their mothers

Those who raise children on their own.

Those who have lost a child.

Those who care for the children of others.

Those who have a child away from home.

Those who's desire to be a mother has not been fulfilled.

Those who are blessed to stay at home, and those who yearn to.

May God bless you all, with strength, patience, courage and wisdom.
Lord, pour down your grace upon them,
all this I ask in Jesus's precious name,
Amen.

With all my heart,

Yolanda

Hello Friends!  hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Palm Springs was great!

Palm trees a plenty, It was quite a sight to look up and be covered by these large palm's.

I love the shadow's created by the palm's

It was so peaceful to hear the fountain's running. I love that.

The grounds were covered with splashes of color.

Here's the entrance to the resort, this pic doesn't do it justice these door's are big.

The girls were discussing, measuring and planning...

Here's Dad, I wonder what he was thinking, looks like he could use a drink.

So cool...

So refreshing...

So inviting...

I wanted to jump right in!

Brides are invited to climb up this tower, stay tuned to see if our brides takes the challenge. did I mention the only way up is by using a ladder.

Maybe I'll try from the other side, since I've only been shooting from the right.

In this shot I can actually see the feather's coming in, how cool is that!

Well hope you all have a great weekend!  I'm off to Palm Spring's with my GF were going to check out the venue for her daughter's wedding, can't wait should be fun.

Garage Sale Finds

Hi Friends,

I went sailing but it was overcast here on Thursday and Friday so not to many sales, but I did get a few things I wanted to share with you.

Isn't this cute! darling bird house.

Look at this door so  a-dor-able.

I'll paint this and use it to cart around stuff.

I got a bunch of these!  I'll use them when I get a proper garden the whole lot cost $2.00.

They had a community garage sale a while ago and I got this cute wheelbarrow, I asked how much?  I thought for sure he would say 20 bucks and the price was $4.00 SOLD!

I got about 5 yards of this fabric for 2 bucks so I started sewing and so far this is what I've done with it.

I made this for my daughter.

This I made for a sweet baby girl named Ally.
I still have quite a bit left so I think I'll sew up a top for me.

I was on a roll, so I also made a bag for a sweet little girl who was turning 8.

Turned out cute, but it needed something so...

I added a flower made from left over scraps, love the scrap pile.

Baby Bird Update

Momma bird is keeping a good watch so I haven't been able to get my camera up close but I will keep trying.

Well that's it for now stay tuned for more of my life in 1000sqft.

With all my heart,

Yolanda
